I never knew I didn't like commerial toothpaste until about 2 years ago. I didn't know it wasn't suppose to have a moderate hurt of your whole mouth when you brushed. 😳I had delt with it as far back as I can remember but it came to a head when I literally wanted to cry when it came to brushing my teeth. My cheeks and gums where so sore and it had become painful to eat. So when brushing my teeth was the one thing I didn't want to do I went searching. I found several recipes for DIY toothpaste but this is the one that I loved. Within a week I was elated to find out it didn't have to hurt when you brushed your teeth!! My mouth healed up and what a game changer. I love this stuff! So if you find brushing your teeth uncomfortable you might want to give this a try. I do spit out and rinse with each brushing. I do not swallow the toothpaste.
This toothpaste does not foam, which takes some getting some use to. It easy to dig it out of the jar with a popsicle stick which is provided or with the back of your toothbrush. This is sweet due to xylitol, a natural birch sweetner which dissolves quickly once it's in your mouth. Flavored with Peppermint or vanilla. It's like brushing your teeth with a sweet peppermint candy or a vanilla milk shake.
Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Calcium Carbonate, Xylitol, baking soda, and flavoring extract.
Try to consume product within 6 months of opening.
Warning: Xylitol is poisonous to dogs. Please keep it out of reach of your fur babies. Also I encourage you to do your own research on daily use of Xylitol as it might not be right for everyone.
